Your goal is to show how the themes and wording of poems written over 200 years ago still have connection to our lives. You will do this by connecting your current events, pictures of current events, and contemporary poetry to the analysis you found in your Romantic poems. Using Photostory, use your pictures as background to your slides as you read your Romantic poems out loud.

Here are the requirements:
1. Title Slide. Create one in PowerPoint and save the slide at a jpeg image. Upload that slide with your pictures.
2. Choose THREE Romantic poems. You will read each of the poems during your Photostory Project. Practice doing this before you record so that you are familiar with the poems and so you can apply the appropriate emotion to the words in your poems.
3. Photos of Current Events. These should match the themes of your Romantic Poems. You need to have at least four pictures per poem. You can change the look of the photos right in PhotoStory by switching to black and white, sepia, etc. This alters the photos so they can actually be used more than once if needed.
4. Text of Romantic Poems to highlight meaning. Use KEY WORDS ONLY from your poem listed on each photo slide. This can be done in Photostory, or you can also create a PowerPoint slide if you want to use Word Art for a more creative look. Remember, if you use PowerPoint, you must save the slide as a jpeg and upload it as an image to use it.
5. Add music. Use one song for the entire photostory or one song per poem.
6. Contemporary Poetry. As transitions between your Romantic Poems, use Contemporary poems with pictures. You will not need to read these, just adjust the time sequence on that slide so individuals can have time to read it.

This entire project and unit will need to be finished by Friday, May 14, 2010. Instructions on where to post your project will come at a later date.
